ECCA SIG PD Opportunity
The Engaging Community and Creating Access Special Interest Group of the North Carolina Association of Colleges of Teacher Education cordially invites you to our first Spring 2025 webinar, Tomorrow's Teachers, Today's Tech: Digital Pedagogy for Culturally Inclusive Classrooms presented by Ashley Bridges. Ms. Bridges is an educator, a professional development specialist, and a founder of CulturED Connections. In this session, participants will seek to understand how technology integration can support culturally responsive teaching practices in K-12 settings and how to prepare preservice teachers to address diverse learning needs effectively. She will highlight digital tools and instructional strategies to support culturally responsive teaching and methods for adapting tech resources to equip preservice teachers with the skills needed to utilize those tools for diverse learners effectively.
Please join us for this exciting opportunity via Zoom on Thursday, January 16 from 5:30-7:00. The event is free; however, registration is required.

Literacy Webinar
NCACTE invited Laura Bilbro-Berry (UNC-SO) and Monica Campbell (NCICU) to host a webinar on the current NC literacy initiatives underway in our state on Thursday, October 21 from 12:00 (noon)-1:00 p.m. via Zoom. Links to the video, slides, and an interest form for additional training are below.
DEI SIG Spring Forum
On April 6, NCACTE DEI SIG held the Drive Spring Forum! Highlights included hearing from Dr. Catherine Edmonds from DPI about their diversity initiatives and from Dr. Anthony Graham about the DRIVE Taskforce's Standards and Recommendations.
